Prebachelor

The Pre-Bachelor's program prepares students with deficiencies in their previous education for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program. Deficiencies mean that the required courses for the BBA program are not included in the previous education or the student has grades lower than a 6 for the courses. Students with 2 or more deficiencies in the required course package will be admitted to the Pre-Bachelor's program. Persons who wish to continue their studies but do not have a high school diploma or the required courses can also follow the Pre-Bachelor's program. The curriculum offered is based on the courses taught in the regular BBA program with the aim of eliminating the deficiencies.

The program consists of one (1) phase, which is divided into three periods. After completing the three periods by means of tests, the student receives an FHR pre-bachelor certificate. The program is structured as follows:

Period 1: Preparation phase with a focus on study skills.
Period 2: Basic phase with a focus on the introduction to the learning areas: Accounting, Finance and Statistics.
Period 3: In-depth phase aimed at connecting to the BBA program

You can be admitted to the pre-bachelor's programme if:

You do not have two or more of the required courses for the BBA program;
You have a score of < 6 for two or more of the required subjects;
You do not have a high school diploma, but have completed at least the exam class of the HAVO, VWO, MBO-4 (IMEAO, NATIN, pedagogical institute) or an equivalent course of study;
You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience and you can provide a reference letter from your employer.

Financing options

1. Internal financing

Een renteloze algemene betalingsregeling met FHR treffen op basis van het maandelijks vermogen van de student/ouders/verzorgers. In geval de student niet volgens de algemene betalingsregeling kan betalen, kan er een verzoek gedaan worden om een alternatieve betalingsregeling. De student dient hiervoor contact op te nemen met de Decaan via decanaat@fhrinstituut.sr or by telephone on +597 425101.

2. Financing through the National Development Bank Suriname (NOB)

The Fund for Study Financing (FSS), managed by the National Development Bank (NOB), can be used to finance tuition fees and study materials. Download the application form via https://www.nob.sr/aanvraagformulier-studiefinanciering-suriname/fill it in and collect the required documents. The information package can then be submitted to the Finance department of FHR School of Business at Burenstraat 23 from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:30.

3. Employer financing

Every working student is encouraged to consult with his/her employer about support in paying tuition fees.

Payments can be made in cash or by bank. Cash payments are possible from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 15:00 at the Finance department of FHR School of Business at Burenstraat 23.

For bank payments (transfers), please transfer the tuition fees for the Bachelor's programmes to one of the following accounts in the name of FHRHO:

Doorstroom naar het Bachelor in Business Administration Programma

Na het succesvol afronden van het van het prebachelorprogramma is de student instaat om door te stromen naar het Bachelor in Business Administration Programma.
